There will be over 130 hares of various sizes dotted throughout the Cotswolds, and two of them can be spotted in Winchcombe.  Winchcombe’s Hares can be found at Warners Budgens, and Winchcombe TIC.  So ‘Hop to it’, come along with your passport and start looking for these beautifully painted  Creatures.
This year’s trail will be bigger than ever, with over 130 hares to find hidden all over the beautiful Cotswolds.  There will be a ‘Hare Spotters’ competion with lots of fabulous prizes.
22 May to 9 September.
The Hare Trail organisers are teaming up  this year with Cotswold Conservation Board, to help people promote, explore and enjoy the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). There will be Hare sculptures dotted thoughout Cotswold towns and countryside promoting sustainable tourism in the area, through this years theme of living landscapes.
The Cotswold Hare Trail is a unique tourist attraction, that can be explored by car, rail, bike or on foot. It celebrates the Cotswolds with its rich history, natural diversity, agriculture, crafts, culture and businesses. So if you have a love of public art, design, sculpture and interest in arts projects and environmental conservation – then this is the trail for you.
