Winchcombe Country Show
One of the finest shows in the land, Winchcombe Country Show is set in the beautiful surroundings of the Cotswolds. Don’t miss this fantastic day out for all the family. There will be a traditional flower show, with many prize winning exhibits to see, a wide range of entertainment, a variety of dog demonstrations, local foods to sample and lots of stalls selling local crafts and gifts.
The fun begins 27 August, Bank Holiday Monday with the annual procession through Winchcombe at start at 11,30am from the Abbey Field Community Centre in Back Lane. There will be vintage tractors, fancy dress contestants and the Happenstance Border Morris Dancers. The procession will arrive at the show site for the opening of the show at 12. 00 noon.
The Winchcombe Country Show is a traditional country show with the Flower Show at its heart. There will be many classes in the show including floral displays, arts, crafts, photography, wine, cookery and preserves with over 50 cups to win.
This year’s main event will be an incredible gymnastic team called Parkour Live. This amazing group show will show what is humanly possible using body power alone. Their performance of ninja and catlike movements is mind blowing. Imagine Ninja warriors, James Bond stunts and Spider-Man rolled into one. That is Parkour Live.
Alongside our main event, there will be a wide range of entertainments for everyone. This will include a traditional Punch and Judy Show, face painting, street entertainment, bungee jumping and much, much more.
The show will also feature many stalls selling gifts and local produce along with stalls providing you with information about local clubs, activities and charities that are in Winchcombe and the surrounding area.
Dog friendly games will include terrier racing, dog scurry and displays from the Pirton Gun Dog Display team. Please bring your dogs along so that they can enjoy the day as well.
To keep you going throughout the day, there will be various refreshment stands including a tea tent serving delicious homemade cakes and a licensed bar.
Tickets cost £5 per adult and £2 per child.
Family tickets (two adults and up to three children) will be £12.
On Sunday 26 August prior to the show there will be the Run Winchcombe Event at Sudeley Castle featuring a 5k fun run, a 10k hill climb to the Neolithic long barrow Belas Knapp for the more adventurous and a 1k for 10s and under.
