30 Sep Winchcombe Remembers
For those who fought in the Great War of 1914-18, Winchcombe remembers.
To mark the centenary of the end of the conflict, come to a programme of songs and readings at the Methodist Church, High Street, Winchcombe, Sunday 4 November at 2:30pm.
We will remember not only those whose names are on the war memorial, but all those who served in the war which came to an end a hundred years ago.
Remembering particularly those who suffered from PTSD, we are collecting money for the charity Combat Stress, which supports veterans of the British Armed Forces who are suffering from mental ill health.
There will be a display of many of our local heroes, and also photographs of some of those who died in the flu epidemic which took so many lives.
